- 1 - Abstract: Purification of a liquid that contains magnetic solid particles is accomplished by feeding the liquid to an electromagnetic filter that includes a matrix and a coil for magnetizing the matrix. The improvement consists of the fact that the coil is cooled by the liquid to be treated. The advantages are simplification of the construction and recovery of some of the energy supplied to the coil.
