METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR INSPECTION OF A PRESSURE TUBE IN A PRESSURE TUBE TYPE NUCLEAR REACTOR ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A new apparatus and method for inspecting the pressure tube of a pressure tube type nuclear reactor, utilizing an inspection apparatus which is a unitary structure of a sensor, its driving device and a securing mechanism. The unitary structure is miniaturized entirely for ready insertion in the pressure tube to be inspected. The inspection apparatus is inserted into the pressure tube by means of a refueling machine provided generally on the nuclear reactor for insertion and removal of the fuel assembly into and out of the pressure tube.
