METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR INTERFACING DISSIMILAR CONTROL SYSTEMS ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method and apparatus for interconnecting at least two dissimilar control systems which utilizes processing means and the communication drivers of each of the control systems. The program objects of each system are translated into a global intermediary form, and the global program objects are then translated to the for of the program objects of the recipient control systems. Asynchronous communication between the control systems is achieved, and a native control system can communicate with a plurality of foreign control systems.
