Apparatus (10) and a method for welding overlapping edge sections (20, 22) of heat sealable materials are disclosed. The apparatus generally includes a frame (12), a heating body (14) attached to the frame (12) for being positioned between the overlapping sheets to heat the sheets, an alignment control mechanism (16) for urging the overlapping sheets into a desired alignment relative to the overlapped sheet and a pressure roller for pressing the heated sections together to weld them together.

L'invention concerne un appareil (10) et un procédé pour souder des bords (20, 22) se chevauchant de matériaux thermosoudables.
