A system for linearly transmitting an amplified output signal using predistortion whereby a straight/direct inverse modeling scheme (503) is used to determined the inverse of the distortion caused by a power amplifier (103). The predistorter system (407) stores complex coefficients in a LUT (603), which are then used as tap weights of a digital filter (601) implementing the predistorter. The predistortion is done by a non-linear filter (601) which incorporates both instantaneous and average envelope power or magnitude effects thereby compensating for modulation envelope memory effects of the power amplifier (103). The LUT (603) is addressed as a function of the instantaneous power or magnitude of the current sample and a profile of the power or magnitude envelope of previous samples. The LUT (603) is updated with values that are indexed as a function of the powers or magnitudes of past samples and the power or magnitude of the current sample.
On décrit un système permettant de transmettre de manière linéaire un signal de sortie amplifié à l'aide de la prédistorsion, dans lequel on utilise un schéma (503) de modélisation inverse droit/direct pour déterminer l'inverse de la distortion provoquée par un amplificateur (103) de puissance. Le système (407) de prédistortion stocke des coefficients complexes dans une table de consultation (603), ces coefficients complexes étant ensuite utilisés en tant que facteurs de pondération de prise d'un filtre numérique (601) mettant en oeuvre le dispositif de prédistortion. La prédistortion est réalisée à l'aide d'un filtre non linéaire (601) qui intègre à la fois la puissance d'enveloppe instantanée et moyenne ou les effets de grandeur, ceux-ci compensant les effets de mémoires d'enveloppe de modulation de l'amplificateur (103) de puissance. La table de consultation (603) n'est adressée en fonction de la puissance ou de la grandeur instantanée de l'échantillon en cours et d'un profil de l'enveloppe de puissance de grandeur des échantillons précédents. La table de consultation (603) est réactualisée avec des valeurs qui sont indexées en fonction des puissances ou des grandeurs d'échantillons passés et de la puissance ou de la grandeur de l'échantillon en cours.
