A B R E G E Pour traiter des organismes vivants ou des produits biologiques provenant de ceux-ci, on utilise un flux magnétique "modifie" par traversée d'une épaisseur d'une substance non-magnétique à structure cristalline orientée, telle qu'un verre polaroïde ou un métal fortement laminé. Le flux d'un électro-aimant traverse le dispositif interposé (p. ex. un verre polaroïde). Après cette "modification" il ne peut plus traverser ni l'embout métallique ni la gaine métallique; il est donc canalisé par le cordon central fait en fibres naturelles et il arrive à la sonde faite d'un tube métallique terminé par une pointe en bois. Sur le trajet du câble l'on peut interposer des électrodes ou des solénoîdes pour agir sur le flux modifié.
