A pouch (26) having a fitment is formed, filled and sealed in a sterilized chamber (36). A film web (24) passes from a sterilized bath into the chamber. A drive moves the film web through the chamber where several steps occur to form the pouch. The web (24) is folded in half therein defining an upper edge at the fold with the selvage edges being positioned in close proximity to each other. After folding, the web defines a pair of parallel walls. A pocket is formed in each of the walls of the film in alignment with each other and in proximity to the selvage edge by stretching the film web. A fitment (98) is inserted between the two pockets and the walls (66) are sealed together to retain the fitment. The two walls are sealed together forming a pouch having a reservoir portion. A "U" shaped peelable seal (144) is formed between the two walls below and around the fitment. The formed pouch is then cut from the film web. The pouch with the folded upper edge is moved into a partial sterilized chamber (164) that surrounds the upper portion of the pouch. The partial chamber is connected to the sterilized forming chamber. The lower portion of the pouch depends below the chamber. The pouch is moved through the partial chamber by a mechanism located below the chamber. Within the chamber, the upper edge of the pouch is slit and the pouch is filled. Thereafter, the pouch is sealed at the upper edge.
Poche (26) à cloison formée, remplie et fermée hermétiquement dans une chambre stérilisée (36). Une feuille en forme de bande (24) sort d'un bain stérilisé et s'engage dans la chambre. Un dispositif d'entraînement fait passer la feuille en forme de bande dans la chambre où la poche est formée en plusieurs étapes. On plie la bande (24) en deux dans la chambre de manière à former un bord supérieur au niveau du pli, les lisières étant disposées à proximité l'une de l'autre. A la suite du pliage, la bande forme une paire de parois parallèles. On étire la bande afin de former dans les parois de la bande des poches respectives alignées l'une sur l'autre et situées à proximité de la lisière. On introduit une cloison (98) entre les deux poches et on soude les parois (66) l'une à l'autre afin qu'elles retiennent la cloison. Les deux parois sont soudées de manière à former une poche présentant une partie réservoir. On forme un élément décollable en forme de U (144) entre les deux parois de sorte qu'il se situe sous la cloison et autour de celle-ci. Ensuite, on détache de la bande la poche ainsi formée, et on introduit la poche, dont le bord supérieur est plié, dans une chambre partielle stérilisée (164) entourant la partie supérieure de la poche. On met la chambre partielle en communication avec la chambre stérilisée de formage. La partie inférieure de la poche s'étend au-dessous de la chambre. Un mécanisme situé sous la chambre fait passer la poche dans la chambre partielle. A l'intérieur de la chambre, on pratique une fente dans le bord supérieur de la poche et on remplit la poche. Enfin, on ferme hermétiquement la poche au niveau du bord supérieur.
