"METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR FORMING AND STACKING FORMED SUBSTANTIALLY FLAT ARTICLES OF NON-CIRCULAR SHAPE" Abstract of the Disclosure method and apparatus for forming and dispatch- ing non-circular, flat articles of thin cross-section, in which each formed article is carried in intimate contact with its former towards a stacking area to be added to a stack, the intimate contact preventing disorientation of the article. After release of the article from the former, a stacking guide of similar shape to the peripheral shape of the article, prevents angular disorientation. The invention has particular use in a thermoforming process with a single thermoforming mould part and devoid of a plug assist tool, the mould part moving into a thermoforming station and then towards the stacking station, and during the latter movement effecting severing of the article from a continuous length.
