A method of producing a composite laminate comprises the steps of feeding ground reclaimed material, for example carpet backing, to a dispersing station (16), dispersing the reclaimed material on a moving web (10), bringing an intermediate web (20) into engagement with the layer of reclaimed material, melting the reclaimed material to fuse the reclaimed material to the intermediate web, passing the laminate through compression rollers (28, 30) to control the thickness of the laminate, and cooling the laminate. The moving web (10) may comprise carpeting material in which case the melted reclaimed material is fused to the carpeting material (10) and intermediate web (20).
L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de fabriquer un stratifié composite, consistant à fournir un matériau récupéré de support de revêtement de sol, par exemple une couche de support de moquette, à une station de dispersion (16) qui disperse le matériau récupéré sur une bande mobile (10); à mettre en contact une bande intermédiaire (20) et la couche de matériau récupéré; à faire fondre le matériau récupéré de façon à fixer par fusion ledit matériau sur la bande intermédiaire; à faire passer le stratifié entre des rouleaux de compression (28, 30) de façon à réguler l'épaisseur dudit stratifié; et à refroidir ce stratifié. La bande mobile (10) peut comprendre un matériau de moquette, auquel cas le matériau récupéré fondu est fixé par fusion audit matériau de moquette (10) et à la bande intermédiaire (20).
