TITLE OF THE INVENTION: PIPE OF FIBER CEMENT, ESPECIALLY OF ASBESTOS CEMENT, AND METHOD OF AND DEVICE FOR MAKING SAME ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A pipe of fiber cement. especially of asbestos cement, and method of and device for making same, according to which the pipe comprises a plurality of fiber cement layers placed one above the other and bonded together by binding agent. At least two fiber layers of the pipe are interconnected by substantially radially directed fibers or fiber parts. The pipe is produced by feeding an aqueous mixture of fibers and a binding agent in a continuous manner to a rotating form core and depositing this mixture in layers upon and around the form core while a pressure member presses at least the respective outermost layer against the fiber layer therebelow and while each newly deposited fiber layer and at least the radially inwardly adjacent layer are needled by a needle roller.
