A method for the manufacture of an innerspring assembly, suitable for a mattress, cushion or the like, comprises the steps of a) positioning a first string (6) of pocketed coil springs in juxtaposition with a plurality of adhesive applicators (12) disposed in mutually fixed relation on an axis parallel to a longitudinal axis of said first string (6), b) applying adhesive from said adhesive applicators (12) to said first string (6) of pocketed coil springs, and c) bringing said first string (6) into adhesive contact with a second string (6a) of pocketed coil springs. Apparatus for carrying out the method is also disclosed, as are innerspring assemblies produced by the method.

L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'ensembles à ressorts convenant pour matelas, coussins ou analogues, consistant a) à juxtaposer une première rangée (6) de ressorts à boudin encapsulés et plusieurs applicateurs (12) d'adhésif fixes les uns par rapport aux autres sur un axe parallèle à un axe longitudinal de cette première rangée (6), b) à appliquer de l'adhésif à partir desdits applicateurs (12) à la première rangée (6) de ressorts à boudin encapsulés, et c) à mettre cette première rangée (6) en contact adhésif avec une seconde rangée (6a) de ressorts à boudin encapsulés.
