A method for manufacturing press molded bodies having at least two separate layers of material is disclosed. The method comprises providing a pair of cooperating parallel arranged rollers (1, 2) defining a nip (3) therebetween and having cavities defined on their outer surfaces, each cavity on one of the rollers (1, 2) cooperating with another cavity of the other roller (2, 1) to form die means, the axes (4, 5) of the roller (1, 2) being arranged substantially horizontally, feeding at least two contiguous separate streams of different particulate materials into die means adjacent to the nip (3), so that each die means will be filled with portions of different material and counter-rotating the rollers (1, 2) so that the materials contained in the die means will be compressed into press molded bodies (briquettes) having at least two separate layers of material. An apparatus for the manufacture of press moulded bodies is also disclosed.
L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication de corps pressés-moulés présentant au moins deux couches de matière séparées. Le procédé consiste à mettre en oeuvre une paire de rouleaux parallèles combinés (1, 2) qui délimitent un espacement (3) et présentent des cavités sur leurs surfaces extérieures, chaque cavité d'un rouleau (1, 2) coopérant avec une autre cavité de l'autre rouleau (2, 1) pour former une matrice, les axes (4, 5) du rouleau (1, 2) étant arrangés de façon sensiblement horizontale. Le procédé consiste ensuite à alimenter au moins deux flux séparés contigus de matières particulaires différentes dans la matrice adjacente à l'espacement (3), afin que chaque matrice soit remplie de parties d'une matière différente. Le procédé consiste enfin à faire tourner en sens inverse les rouleaux (1, 2) de sorte que les matières présentes dans la matrice soient comprimées pour donner des corps pressés-moulés (briquettes) présentant au moins deux couches de matière séparées. L'invention concerne en outre un appareil servant à la fabrication de corps pressés-moulés.
