9952 ABSTRACT A method and apparatus for continuously measuring hydrogen peroxide concentration in a solution such as an eluant in a uranium recovery operation. The hydrogen peroxide is first decomposed into water and oxygen by contacting it with a catalytic material, e.g. activated carbon. That portion of the oxygen generated by this decomposition which dissolves, which is directly related to the hydrogen peroxide concentration, is measured with a dissolved oxygen meter which, after calibration, provides a measurement of hydrogen peroxide concentration in the solution. Structurally, the hydrogen peroxide measuring means is comprised of a housing having an open end adapted to be exposed to the solution to be measured. A catalytic material is positioned over the open end of the housing and a dissolved oxygen measuring means is positioned within the housing.
