A method and apparatus for non-inva- sivety measuring changes in intracranial pres- sure (ICP) in a patient's skull which allow trends in such pressure to diagnose over time. A method performed, or an apparatus made in accordance with the instant invention com- prises a generation of a predetermined vibra- tion signal which is applied to a first location on a skull (10), detecting an output vibration from a novel location on the skull (12), storing data characteristics of the two signals, repeat- ing the above-mentioned steps over time, and analysing the data to diagnose changes in ICP over time.
