A method and apparatus for calculating a ratio, R, having a first capacitance value, C1, in inverse relation to a second capacitance value, C2, where C1 and C2 are the capacitance values of a first capacitor and a second capacitor respectively. The first and second capacitors each have an independent electrode and share a common electrode. An AC voltage is applied to the common electrode producing first and second AC current signals at the two independent electrodes. A dual switched-capacitor integrated circuit and two current to frequency converters respectively convert the first and second AC current signals to first and second frequency signals having values f1 and f2. A microprocessor receives the first and second frequency signals and calculates R from f1 and f2.
La présente invention a pour objet une méthode et un appareil permettant de calculer un ratio R ayant une première valeur capacitive C1 en relation inverse avec une deuxième valeur capacitive C2, et où C1 et C2 sont les valeurs capacitives d'un premier et d'un deuxième condensateurs, respectivement. Le premier et le deuxième condensateurs possèdent chacun une électrode indépendante et partagent une électrode commune. Une tension C.A. est appliquée à l'électrode commune pour la production d'un premier et d'un deuxième signaux de courant alternatif au niveau de chacune des deux électrodes indépendantes. Un circuit intégré comportant un condensateur à double commutation et deux convertisseurs de courant en fréquence convertissent respectivement les premier et deuxième signaux de courant alternatif en premier et deuxième signaux de fréquence de valeur f1 et f2. Un microprocesseur reçoit les premier et deuxième signaux de fréquence et calcule R à partir de f1 et f2.
