A first repeater operating within a wireless network including a second repeater capable of communicating with the first repeater, and first and second wireless station devices capable of communicating with at least one of the first repeater and the second repeater, includes a reception device for receiving a wireless signal at a reception frequency; a detector for detecting if a predetermined portion of the received wireless signal includes a modified portion to thereby determine that the received signal is from the second repeater; and a transmission device for transmitting the wireless signal to one of the first and second wireless station devices at a transmission frequency to thereby repeat the wireless signal.
L'invention concerne un premier répéteur qui fonctionne dans un réseau sans fil comprenant un second répéteur capable de communiquer avec le premier répéteur, et un premier et un second dispositif de station sans fil capables de communiquer avec le premier répéteur et/ou le second répéteur. Le premier répéteur de l'invention comprend : un dispositif de réception destiné à recevoir un signal sans fil à une fréquence de réception; un détecteur qui détecte si une partie prédéterminée du signal sans fil reçu comprend une partie modifiée afin de déterminer si le signal reçu provient du second répéteur; et un dispositif de transmission qui transmet le signal sans fil au premier et/ou au second dispositif de station sans fil à une fréquence de transmission afin de répéter le signal sans fil.
