ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An apparatus is disclosed for monitoring a material undergoing a thermally activated process which follows an exponential curve involving temperature and time. The apparatus includes creep means for changing in physical dimension exponentially in response to heat energy when subjected to a constant stress, and force means for placing the creep means under a constant stress. Preferably, signal means provide a signal in response to the change in physical dimension of the creep means.
