ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An automated means and method opens soft-sealed cases without damaging the case so it can be resealed and used for shipping product. Opening of the cases is accomplished using vacuum suction to slightly separate the case flaps sufficient to insert a plow, which breaks the adhesive bond holding the flaps in place.
