A method and an apparatus for operating a melt reduction process are shown, at least part of an export gas from a blast furnace or a reduction assembly being utilized thermally in a gas turbine, and the exhaust gas from this gas turbine being used in waste heat steam generation for the generation of steam. A remaining part of the export gas is supplied to a device for the separation of CO2, the tail gas which in this case occurs being supplied to waste heat steam generation and being burnt for the additional generation of steam. By virtue of the invention, the combustible fractions of the tail gas are supplied for thermal utilization in a steam generator, so that the energy balance of the thermal export gas utilization is improved overall. Furthermore, the quality of a further part of the export gas is improved by means of the device for the separation of CO2, with the result that a high-grade reduction gas is generated which can be supplied for metallurgical use.

L'invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif permettant la mise en oeuvre d'un processus de réduction de fusion, procédé selon lequel au moins une partie d'un gaz d'exportation provenant d'un haut-fourneau (1) ou d'un groupe de réduction (R1) est exploitée thermiquement dans une turbine à gaz, et le gaz d'échappement de cette turbine à gaz (24) est utilisé dans un système de récupération de chaleur perdue (16) pour la production de vapeur. Une partie restante du gaz d'exportation est envoyée dans un dispositif de séparation de CO2 (8), le gaz de queue formé étant envoyé dans un système de récupération de chaleur perdue (16) et étant brûlé en vue d'une production supplémentaire de vapeur. Grâce à l'invention, les fractions combustibles du gaz de queue d'une utilisation thermique sont envoyées dans un générateur de vapeur, ce qui permet d'améliorer globalement le bilan energétique de l'utilisation thermique du gaz d'exportation. En outre, une autre partie du gaz d'exportation est améliorée qualitativement par le dispositif de séparation de CO2, ce qui permet de produire un gaz de réduction de haute valeur qui peut être fourni en vue d'une utilisation métallurgique.
