ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A length of tube is painted by passing the tube through a paint bath defined by a container in which paint is continuously stirred, and pumped out of the container to a hose for spraying against the tube and back into the container. The tube is dis- charged from the container through a nozzle in which an annular jet of air is directed against the tube for removing excess paint therefrom and ensuring uniform coating of the tube.
