Devices and methods for placing a conduit (10) in fluid communication with a target vessel (TV) to communicate the target vessel (TV) with a source of blood. A conduit (10) is coupled to the target vessel (TV) by first (14) and second (16) securing components that compress or sandwich the vessel wall. The conduit (10) can be preshaped to assume a desired orientation when in an unbiased state, for example, to allow the conduit (10) to be deformed during delivery and then regain its desired orientation once deployed. The first (14) and second (16) securing components may be any shape but are preferably elongated in the direction of the vessel axis, e.g., elliptical or rectangular, such that a minimum amount of material is present at the outlet to closely approximate the cross-sectional area of the native target vessel. The securing components (14, 16) do not significantly occlude the target vessel lumen, may be secured to the vessel wall in non-penetrating fashion, and provides a fluid-tight seal around the attachment site. The conduit (10) may comprise tissue, synthetic material, etc., and one or both securing components may be constructed or provided with means for attaching an outologous vessel.
L'invention concerne des dispositifs et des procédés permettant de placer un conduit en communication fluidique avec un vaisseau cible, de manière à créer une communication entre le vaisseau cible et une source sanguine. Un conduit est couplé au vaisseau cible par des premier et second éléments de fixation comprimant ou prenant en sandwich la paroi du vaisseau. Le conduit peut être préformé aux fins de présenter une orientation souhaitée quand il est dans un état non sollicité, par exemple, de manière à permettre au conduit d'être déformé pendant son application et puis de retrouver l'orientation souhaitée une fois déployé. Les premier et second éléments de fixation peuvent se présenter sous n'importe quelle forme mais sont, de préférence, allongés dans la direction de l'axe du vaisseau, c'est-à-dire elliptique ou rectangulaire, de manière que seule une quantité minimum de matière soit présente au niveau de l'orifice de sortie, afin d'approcher de près la zone transversale du vaisseau cible endogène. Les éléments de fixation n'occluant pas de manière significative la lumière du vaisseau cible peuvent être fixés, de manière non pénétrante, à la paroi du vaisseau et mettent en place un joint étanche aux fluides autour du site de fixation. Le conduit peut comprendre des tissus, une matière synthétique, etc., et au moins un des éléments de fixation peut être construit ou mis en place par des moyens de fixation d'un vaisseau autologue.
