In accordance with one aspect, the present invention relates to a method of pollinating a plant, in a building having a plurality of rooms connected by a circulation system, the plant having female parts, the method comprising dispensing a fertilizing pollen into the circulation system for distributing the fertilizing pollen throughout the building, the fertilizing pollen having been collected from a pollinating plant having male parts prior to dispensing. The circulating system may be a forced air ventilation, heating or cooling ducting system in the building. The present invention also provides for an apparatus for pollinating a plant, wherein the apparatus may include a reservoir containing pollen of a Cannabis sativa plant.
