An apparatus and a method for a control channel power allocation in a communication system are disclosed. The method of control channel power allocation in an embodiment includes sorting a plurality of access terminals in an order of increasing required medium access control (MAC) channel power into a plurality of bins, sorting the access terminals with equal required MAC channel power in an order of decreasing forward link signal to interference and noise ratio (FL SINR) if two or more access terminals have equal required MAC channel power, and determining total available ARQ power based upon total MAC channel power, total power allocated to reverse power control (RPC) channels, and total power allocated to reverse activity bit (RAB) channels.
La présente invention concerne un appareil et un procédé permettant l'allocation d'une puissance à un canal de signalisation dans un système de communication. Dans un mode de réalisation, le procédé d'allocation de puissance à un canal de signalisation de l'invention consiste : à classer une pluralité de terminaux d'accès en une pluralité de segments de bande passante par ordre croissant de la puissance requise du canal de commande d'accès au support (MAC) ; si au moins deux terminaux d'accès présentent une même puissance de canal MAC requise, à classer les terminaux d'accès présentant une même puissance de canal MAC requise par ordre décroissant du rapport signal/brouillage et signal/bruit de liaison aval (FL_SINR) ; et à déterminer une puissance de demande automatique de répétition (ARQ) disponible totale sur la base de la puissance de canal MAC totale, de la puissance totale attribuée aux canaux de commande de puissance inverse (RPC), et de la puissance totale attribuée aux canaux à bits d'activité inverse (RAB).
