A method and apparatus for power conversion in a class D amplifier is provided. The power conversion is achieved using synchronous rectifiers in a regulated half bridge power supply, taking the sum of the positive and negative rails as feedback, in order facilitate energy transfer between positive and negative output rails. This minimizes the effects of off side charging and rail sag, as well as achieving good line regulation, while allowing use of very small, low value output capacitors.

Linvention concerne un procédé et un appareil pour la conversion de puissance dans un amplificateur de classe D. La conversion de puissance est obtenue à laide de redresseurs synchrones dans une alimentation en demi-pont régulée, la somme des rails positif et négatif servant de retour, afin de faciliter le transfert dénergie entre les rails de sortie positif et négatif. Ceci permet de réduire au minimum les effets du pompage et du fléchissement au niveau du pôle dalimentation, et dobtenir une bonne régulation de ligne tout en permettant lutilisation de condensateurs de sortie de très petite taille et de faible valeur.
