ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method and apparatus for preparing beverages in beverage making machines from powered concentrates, in which the power is metered by a power dosing device to an open-topped mixing device the disposed under said power dosing device, and in which mixing device the power is dissolved that there is provided a steam of air which entrains the power particles integrally from the outlet opening of the power dosing device though the mixing device, while the stream of air in its totality leaves the mixing device together with the prepared solution, and further that, from the place when the power first touches the mixing device, all interior parts of said mixing device are washed by the water supplied.
