A method for preventing flow lines from freezing. A first step involves providing an elongate cylindrical vessel having a first end and a second end. A second step involves extending a flow pipe forming part of the flow line through the vessel from the first end to the second end, thereby forming an annular chamber surrounding the flow pipe. A third step involves extending a conduit through the annular chamber. A fourth step involves connecting the conduit to a source of preheated fluids and passing preheated fluids through the conduit, thereby heating the annular chamber surrounding the flow pipe.
