ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method and a system for preventing the accumula- tion of polarized foreign particles on a fabric support surface of support elements positioned in contact with a moving fabric in a paper making machine on which there is supported a pulp stock having polarized foreign particles, which comprises con- necting an electrical charge to a conductive portion of the support elements. The electrical charge is of like polarity to the polarized foreign particles whereby the polarized foreign particles will be repelled from at least a portion of the fabric support surface.
