ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE In the bonding of two webs, each having a polyolefin resin surface thereon, to form a laminate the polyolefin sur- face of a first of said webs is heated to a temperature at which the resin will melt or become tacky, while the polyolefin sur- face of the second of said webs is heated to a given temperature. The heated surfaces are then brought together in a manner to form a substantially permanent bond therebetween. One advan- tage of the method is that extremely thick high-density plastic foils can be bonded successfully to fibrous carriers.
