Gypsum plasterboard is produced by combining calium sulphate hemihydrate (stucco) with water to form an aqueous slurry. Uncalcined gypsum having a specific surface area below 0.3 m2/g is added to the slurry and the slurry is discharged onto a support so as to form a sheet of gypsum plasterboard.

Selon l'invention, une plaque de plâtre est produite par mélange de sulfate de calcium hémihydraté (stuc) avec de l'eau pour former une suspension aqueuse. Du gypse non calciné présentant une surface spécifique inférieure à 0,3 m?2¿/g est ajouté à la suspension, puis cette dernière est versée sur un support de façon à former une feuille de plaque de plâtre.
