The present application relates to a process for manufacturing an article (1) comprising a substrate (3) and a translucent, semi-transparent or transparent overlay (5). The substrate (3) has a contoured surface (7) and the overlay (5) is provided over at least a portion of the contoured surface. The process comprises using a computer system to generate data corresponding to a three- dimensional image. The generated data is used to control apparatus to form at least a portion of a mould for defining the contoured surface (7) of the substrate (3) and the mould is then used to form at least the contoured surface of the substrate. The overlay (5) is then provided over at least a portion of the contoured surface (7). The present application also relates to articles (1) formed by this process.
L'invention concerne un procédé de production d'un article (1) comprenant un substrat (3) et un recouvrement translucide, semi-transparent ou transparent (5). Le substrat (3) présente une surface profilée (7), et le recouvrement (5) est prévu sur au moins une portion de la surface profilée. Le procédé consiste à utiliser un système d'ordinateur pour générer des données correspondant à une image tridimensionnelle. Les données générées sont utilisées pour contrôler l'appareil, en vue de former au moins une portion du moule définissant la surface profilée (7) du substrat (3), le moule étant ensuite utilisé pour former au moins la surface profilée du substrat. Le recouvrement (5) est ensuite prévu sur au moins une portion de la surface profilée (7). L'invention concerne en outre des articles (1) formés suivant ce procédé.
