A method and apparatus for offshore production of oil. Special shuttle tankers (50) with high-pressure cargo tanks (82) capable of containing the produced live crude oil at a pressure close to that of the ambient pressure inside a subterranean oil field, and without any processing of the live crude oil prior to transportation are used. The produced live crude oil from the subterranean oil field is pumped directly into the high-pressure cargo tanks (82) aboard the shuttle tanker (50). Lighter fractions of the live crude oil stored in the shuttle tanker (50) may be used as a fuel to power the propulsion machinery (95) and the auxiliary machinery aboard the shuttle tanker. The pressures in the tanks (82) are ordinary above 70 kPa. The tanker vessel (50) transports the produced live crude oil to an onshore processing plant for separation into gas, water, solids, and stabilized crude oil.
Procédé et dispositif permettant de produire du pétrole en mer, faisant appel à des pétroliers navettes spéciaux (50) qui comportent des citernes (82) haute pression capables de contenir le pétrole brut non stabilisé, produit à une pression proche de la pression ambiante à l'intérieur d'un champ pétrolifère souterrain et non traité avant son transport. Le pétrole brut non stabilisé produit, provenant du champ pétrolifère souterrain, est pompé directement de façon à être amené dans les citernes (82) haute pression à bord du pétrolier navette (50). Les fractions légères du pétrole brut stockées dans le pétrolier (50) peuvent être utilisées comme carburant pour alimenter les machines de propulsion (95) et les machines auxiliaires à bord du pétrolier. La pression dans les citernes (82) est ordinairement supérieure à 70 kPa. Le pétrolier (50) amène le pétrole brut produit à une installation de traitement à terre en vue de sa séparation en gaz, eau, solides et pétrole brut stabilisé.
