A gasifying apparatus (20) comprising a lower space (21) for the spontaneous combustion of a fraction of the carbonaceous material by exposure to very hot air, an intermediate space (22) for the combination of the carbon dioxide produced in the lower space (21) with very high temperature superheated steam, and an upper space (23) for the synthesis of the gas from the intermediate space (22) in the presence of superheated steam. The resulting methanol discharged from the upper space is collected and fed to an exchanger (30) supplying very hot air and superheated steam to the gasifying apparatus (20).
L'appareil de gazéification (20) comporte un espace inférieur (21), réservé à la combustion spontanée sous l'action d'air très chaud d'une fraction de la matière carbonée, un espace intermédiaire (22), réservé à la combinaison du dioxyde de carbone produit dans l'espace (21) à de la vapeur surchauffée à très haute température, et un espace supérieur (23), réservé à la synthèse, en présence de vapeur d'eau surchauffée, du gaz sortant de l'espace intermédiaire (22), à la sortie duquel le méthanol ainsi produit est collecté puis canalisé vers un échangeur (30), fournissant l'appareil de gazéification (20) en air très chaud et en vapeur surchauffée.
