Method and apparatus (fig. 1) for capturing, editing, storing, and reproducing multiple graphic image components for the production of personalized printing materials. From data (20) entered in the computer (22), personal characteristics of the customer are selected and the image of the customer is integrated in a pre-printed background (fig. 4). Both method and apparatus allow for controlled additive coloration to a basic background to incorporate shading, contour, fine detail, and variation in skin tone and hair color in the finish drawing of the customer.
L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil (fig. 1) permettant de saisir, de mettre en forme, de mémoriser et de reproduire de multiples composants d'images graphiques destinés à la production de documents imprimés personnalisés. A partir de données (20) introduites dans l'ordinateur (22), on sélectionne des caractéristiques personnelles du client et on intègre l'image du client dans un arrière-plan pré-imprimé (fig. 4). Ce procédé et cet appareil permettent de commander l'ajout de caractéristiques graphiques à un arrière-plan de base, de façon à ajouter au dessin définitif du client, des ombrages, des contours et des détails fins, et à modifier le teint de le peau et la couleur des cheveux.
