A system for at least partially decontaminating personnel in response to detection of an agent harmful to human life such as a chemical or biological agent. The system can provide a sprinkler head above a walkway such as a hallway through which personnel are expected to walk. The sprinkler provides a spray of water over personnel passing underneath, removing at least some of the harmful agent and reducing the transport of the agent from one area to another. Preferably, the system includes a sprinkler or shower head coupled to an existing fire control sprinkler supply pipe, wherein the sprinkler head may include a valve that is remotely controlled and can be opened in response to detection of a chemical or biological agent.
L'invention porte sur un système permettant de décontaminer au moins partiellement des personnes après la détection d'un agent toxique tel qu'un agent chimique ou biologique. Ledit système peut comprendre une tête d'asperseur fixée au-dessus d'un passage tel qu'un couloir que les personnes traversent fréquemment. L'asperseur pulvérise de l'eau sur les personnes traversant ledit couloir, éliminant au moins en partie les agents toxiques et limitant le transport des agents d'une zone à une autre. Le système comprend de préférence une tête d'asperseur, ou aspersoir, couplée au conduit d'alimentation d'un asperseur d'extincteur préexistant, dont la tête d'asperseur peut être munie d'une soupape télécommandée que l'on ouvre après la détection d'un agent chimique ou biologique.
