An ACK/NACK method and system for use in time division duplex (TDD) and frequency division duplex (FDD) systems. In high speed downlink packet access (HSDPA), based on the assignment of timeslots for the high speed shared information channel (HS-SICH), each user equipment (UE) can be assigned two (2) different channelization codes. It is then possible to adopt the signaling convention that one code represents acknowledge error-free (Ack) and the other code shall represent acknowledge error condition (Nack). The Node B is able to distinguish the presence of the transmitted channelization code as opposed to the channelization code which is not transmitted. The probability of error, using this invention, is an order of a magnitude smaller than if the Ack/Nack were signaled using typical modulation techniques.
L'invention concerne un procédé et un système d'admission/non admission destinés à être utilisés dans des systèmes de duplex à répartition dans le temps (DRT) et de duplex à répartition en fréquence (DRF). Dans un système d'accès par paquets de liaison descendante très rapide (HSDPA), fondé sur l'assignation d'intervalles de temps pour des voies d'informatique partagée très rapide (HS-SICH), chaque équipement d'utilisateur (UE) peut être assigné à deux codes différents de découpage en canaux. Il est alors possible d'adopter la convention de signalisation, de manière à ce qu'un code représente une admission sans erreur (ACK) et que l'autre code représente une non admission (NACK). Le noeud B est capable de distinguer la présence du code de découpage en canaux transmis par opposition à un code de découpage de canaux non transmis. Selon l'invention, la probabilité d'erreur est d'un ordre de magnitude inférieur à celui obtenu quand l'admission/non admission est signalée au moyen de techniques de modulation classiques
