METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROVIDING THE INNER SURFACE OF A PIPE WITH A FLEXIBLE TUBULAR LINING MATERIAL Abstract of the Disclosure A method and an apparatus for providing the inner surface of a pipe with a flexible tubular lining material by means of liquid resin under pressure comprises fixing one end of such material so that it is turned inside out at the fixed end. Fluid pressure is then applied from the rear of the assembly to push the lining material forward within the pipe while effecting evagination of the lining material to attach the inner surface of the lining material exposed by evagination under pressure tightly to the inner surface of the pipe. The invention is characterized by previously forming a reservoir of the liquid resin enclosed in the interior of the unevaginated portion of the lining material positioned in the rear of the fixed portion. The lining material is passed through the reservoir to apply the resin to its inner surface. The lining material is squeezed externally to adjust the quantity of the resin applied to this inner surface. The liquid resin-applied inner surface of the lining material is then applied to the inner surface of the pipe under pressure to form a flexible tight lining. This method is advantageously utilized for preventing leakage of various kinds of gas and liquid from pipes.
