Samples of product with contaminating particulate matter are placed into a sample holder and compressed against a clear window for identification by the image acquisition sub-system. Using custom software architecture, an electronic image is generated, captured, and contaminants are isolated and quantified based on calibration-trained expert-user criteria. The instrumental method produces objective, rapid, automated quantification of particle contaminants.
