Abstract of the Disclosure A disk recording and/or reproducing apparatus for a recordable disk previously provided with absolute addresses, such as the recordable and reproducible compact disk, wherein a program area and a lead-in area are provided to the disk, the data such as the performance information is recorded in the program area, the archival information showing the record contents of the program area is recorded in the lead-in area, and the program area is reproduced on the biasis of the archival information in the program area. According to the present invention, the archival information is reproduced from the lead-in area, the sequence contained in the information is changed, and the information which has been changed in its sequence is re-recorded in the lead-in area.
