ABSTRACT The involuntary movements of a part of the body around a fixed point due to several diseases, can be recorded by photoelectric devices detecting and recording the movements of the tremulous limb, in two-dimensional directions. i.e., vertical and horizontal. For this purpose, an optoelectric detector and a recording unit are used. After being separated into horizontal and vertical components. the tremor is sequentially and independently converted into two-dimensional corresponding sets of information by means of four electric signals of variable magnitude flowing in opposite directions, two voltages for each direction which, in turn, are amplified, bandpass tiltered and graphically recorded on a moving strip.
