A method for reducing surface reflection from a display screen enclosed within a secondary housing with a transparent shield. The method consists of the step of positioning the transparent shield at an angle relative to an intended viewing position and a non-reflective surface. The angle from the intended viewing position to the transparent shield should be substantially equal to the angle from the transparent shield to the non-reflective surface. An observer standing at the intended viewing position observes a superimposed image of the non-reflective surface on the transparent shield.
