ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This apparatus utilizes a traveling looped conveyor belt upon which a plurality of previously slit web ribbons are received. The conveyor belt is then movably positioned to partially wrap a reel spool to simultaneously urge each of the ribbons into wrapping engagement with the rotating reel spool to be wound into a roll thereon. The traveling conveyor belt is selectively positionable about the reel spool and reel drum to permit removal of the wound roll and the positioning of a new reel spool so that transfer of the plurality of ribbons can be made from the wound roll to the next reel spool quickly and automatically at normal operating machine speed.
