ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method for refining molten raw metal, more parti- cularly lead or tin, whereby the raw material is freed con- secutively of metallic impurities, characterized in that the saw metal flows continuously through directly consecutive re- action zones in which selective refining conditions are main- tained and into which solid and/or liquid and/or gaseous reagents are introduced and in that the reaction products floating upon the flowing metal and containing the impurities, are removed between the individual reaction zones.
