In a method and apparatus for regenerating particles of desiccant rendered ineffective by at least one contaminant capable of being burned, the particles of desiccant are placed into a hollow container formed with a cylindrical perforated wall, the hollow container is rotated about the geometrical axis of the cylindrical wall to continuously mix the particles of desiccant, and combustion flames are applied to the underside of the cylindrical perforated wall whereby these flames are applied directly to the particles of desiccant being mixed through the perforations of the cylindrical wall to burn and thereby remove the contaminant from the particles of desiccant.
Méthode et appareil pour régénérer des particules de déshydratant rendues inefficaces par au moins un contaminant qui peut se brûler. On place les particules de déshydratant dans un récipient creux comportant une paroi cylindrique perforée, on fait tourner le récipient creux autour de l'axe géométrique de la paroi cylindrique pour mélanger de façon continue les particules de déshydratant et on applique des flammes de combustion en dessous de la paroi cylindrique perforée, les flammes se trouvant ainsi appliquées directement, à travers les trous de la paroi cylindrique perforée, aux particules de déshydratant qu'on mélange pour brûler et ainsi éliminer le contaminant des particules de déshydratant.
