ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method for preparing and regenerating skiing courses wherein the snow is broken up, crumbled and deep-frozen in loosened condition and then a hard course covering is produced by fine levelling and smoothing. An apparatus for carrying out the method comprises a frame mounted on runners and carrying planing bodies which can be adjusted to one position to dig into and break up the snow and to a second position to level and smooth the top surface of the broken up snow.
