METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR REMOVABLY SECURING ROTARY ELEMENT TO PRIME MOVER OUTPUT SHAFT Abstract of the Disclosure A flat adjacent the end of a motor shaft merges into a surface which curves radially of the motor shaft inwardly and terminates at the end of the motor shaft. A narrow groove extends transversely of the shaft between the flat and the radially inwardly curved surface and receives one end of a spring clip received in the hub of a fan or blower wheel to be mounted on the motor shaft. An opening adjacent the end of the spring clip is engageable by a tool to pry the end of the clip out of the groove and pull the hub from the shaft, should removal of the hub later be necessary. The radially inwardly curved surface provides a fulcrum for prying and pulling.
