A method and apparatus for correcting the non-uniformities in the lens assembly of an electrophoresis apparatus is provided. In one aspect, a look-up table is created based on non-uniformities at different aperture and magnification settings (Figure 5). In another aspect, a calibration standard with a uniform emittance is used to correct non-uniformities. In yet another aspect, a beam splitter or minor is used to create a correction data file for non-uniformities in the light source.

L'invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif permettant de corriger les non uniformités dans l'ensemble objectif d'un appareil d'électrophorèse. Selon un mode de réalisation, on crée une table de recherche sur la base des non uniformités et ce, pour des réglages différents d'ouverture et de grossissement (figure 5). Selon un autre mode de réalisation, on utilise une référence d'étalonnage présentant une émittance uniforme pour corriger les non uniformités. Dans un dernier mode de réalisation, on utilise un séparateur de faisceau ou un miroir pour créer un fichier de données de correction des non uniformités de la source lumineuse.
