SPECIFICATION Title of the Invention METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR REMOVING ZINC TYPE METALS AND COMPOUNDS IN DUST RECOVERY PROCESS IN IRON MANUFACTURE Abstract of the Disclosure In a process for recycling dusts discharged from iron manufacturing furnaces such as blast furnaces and converters to re-utilize iron-containing components in dusts for operations in the iron manufacturing fur- naces, zinc type metals and compounds are deposited and accumulated in the iron manufacturing furnaces and have bad influences on the operations. The present invention relates to a wet method for removing these zinc type metals and compounds and a mechanism to be used directly for practising this method. According to the method of this invention, when there is no particle polarization in dusts, particle polarization is conducted on zinc according to the work index, and zinc type metals and compounds are removed as much as possible by classification under negative pressures. Also a mechanism for practising this method effectively and conveniently is provided by the present invention. - 1 -
