A method of repairing damaged wooden pallets (1a) is disclosed. Connector members of a pallet element to be replaced are cut through using a band saw and the element is then removed. Both the partially disassembled pallet and new pallet elements are transferred into an assembly station (18), where the new pallet elements are attached to the pallet (1f) from the top side thereof. Damaged bottom parts of the pallet may be removed as a module, e.g. a skid, thereby facilitating the attachment of a replacement module from the top side of the pallet. Before the replacement module is attached, the position of connector elements still present in a top deck board member may be electronically scanned, and new connector members may then be applied in a position offset to the existing connector members. All steps beyond the cutting step may be fully automated, i.e. without any human assistance.
L'invention décrite dans le présent document porte sur une méthode de réparation de palettes en bois (1a) endommagées. Les éléments de connexion d'éléments de palettes à remplacer sont découpés à l'aide d'une scie à ruban, puis enlevés. La palette partiellement démontée et les nouveaux éléments de palette sont transférés à un poste d'assemblage (18), où les nouveaux éléments de palette sont assujettis à cette dernière (1f) à partir de sa partie supérieure. Les pièces endommagées de la partie inférieure peuvent être enlevées en tant que modules, p. ex. un patin, ce qui facilite l'assujettissement d'un module de rechange sur la partie supérieure de la palette. Avant l'installation d'un module de rechange, on peut balayer électroniquement le plancher supérieur de la palette pour y repérer la position des éléments de connexion qui s'y trouvent encore, de façon à pouvoir mettre en place les nouveaux connecteurs de façon équilibrée. Toutes les étapes, exception faite de la découpe, peuvent être entièrement automatisées et se passer de toute intervention humaine.
