The invention relates to a method and an appliance for examination of the retina, with two-dimensional images of the retina being produced. The invention is based on the object of designing the method and the apparatus so as to allow comprehensive examination and diagnosis of the eye retina in a simple manner. The invention proposes that second data items and two-dimensional depth slice images be produced from the retina, and that the position of these second data items be known in the recorded two-dimensional image of the retina, and/or be predetermined on the basis of the two-dimensional image.

L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil d'étude de la rétine dans lesquels des images de la surface de la rétine sont formées. Le problème à la base de l'invention consiste à mettre au point un procédé et un dispositif permettant de manière simple de faire une étude ou un diagnostic complet de la rétine de l'AEil. Dans ce but, il est prévu selon l'invention de créer à partir de la rétine des deuxièmes données et des images bidimensionnelles en coupe de l'épaisseur et de connaître la position de ces deuxièmes données dans l'image de surface de la rétine enregistrée et/ou de la prédéterminer en fonction de l'image de surface.
