A method of rolling and then coiling metal strip (1) especially steel strip (1) on at least one rotatably driven and spreadable coiling mandrel (20), whereby the metal strip (1) is inspected in longitudinal segments for rolling anomalies, in which an economical and rapid inspection of the strip samples (1a) is carried out in a continuous rolling process and wherein the strip samples (1a) within the rolling line (2a) are guided "in line" above a lower-lying coiling station (18) onto an inspection table (11) for a free perusal and are stopped on that inspection table.

L'invention concerne un procédé de laminage et de bobinage consécutif d'une bande métallique (1), notamment d'une bande d'acier (1), sur au moins un mandrin de bobinage (20) extensible, entraîné en rotation, la bande métallique (1) étant inspectée par sections longitudinales afin de détecter des anomalies de laminage. Le procédé selon l'invention permet une inspection économique et rapide d'échantillons de bande (1a) au cours du processus de laminage continu, du fait que l'échantillon de bande (1a) est guidé et stoppé en ligne sur une table d'inspection (11) permettant une observation libre, après une station de bobinage (18) située plus bas, au sein de la ligne de laminage (2a). L'invention concerne également un dispositif destiné à la mise en oeuvre du procédé selon l'invention.
